Nanotechnology can make food healthier and people physically stronger and could lead to greatly enhanced performance with little or no side effects. No dope or illegal and dangerous products are necessary to achieve that. In sports world records will fall. Would you like to be a nano-sportsman?
The military is investing a lot in nanotechnology, on the premises that the power that the countries will obtain through nanotechnology-enhanced armies will be a huge military force. What would be the effects of such a potential power?

Using nanotechnology in textiles means also the possibility to monitor your body via sensors distributed on a textile substrate and performing biochemical measurements. The European project BIOTEX is addressing exactly these functions.
