What would be the effects of such a potential super-nano equipped military power? With the development of nanotechnologies, it may be possible to incorporate auxiliary memory chips into our brains, enhance our intelligence, sensory capacities and physical endurance.

• Look at the Nanotechnology consumer products inventory, a list of currently available nanotechnology products. Can you imagine new products and new functions?

• Using nanotechnology in textiles means also the possibility to monitor your body via sensors distributed on a textile substrate and performing biochemical measurements. The European project BIOTEX is addressing exactly these functions.

• The MIT Institute for Soldier Nanotechnology is exploring new ways to use nanotechnology to enhance the survival of soldiers in the future. What do you think of this research?
